Our Story
AndRoc’s Kitchen was born from a shared dream and a shared table. In 2018, husband-and-wife team Andre & Rochelle decided to turn their lifelong passion for food into something they could share with the world. For them, cooking is more than a skill — it’s a language of love, a way to bring people closer, to nourish both body and soul.
Rooted in the seaside charm of Kommetjie on Cape Town’s Southern Peninsula, AndRoc’s Kitchen is as much a part of the community as the waves at Long Beach. On weekends, you’ll often find our little food trailer parked by the shore, serving street-food–inspired breakfast buns and specialty lunch bites to surfers, beach walkers, and anyone drawn by the scent of something delicious on the breeze.
We cook with the seasons, sourcing the best local produce from nearby farms and small artisan businesses, and using only ethically sourced animal products. Every ingredient tells a story of the hands that grew it and the land it came from.
From intimate weddings and serene retreats to birthdays, corporate gatherings, and simple shared meals, our mission has never changed: to nourish and connect people through food. Because in the end, the best meals aren’t just eaten — they’re remembered.

We’re proudly South African — a nation as rich in flavor as it is in culture. Our plates are inspired by the diverse culinary heritage that makes our country so unique, from the smoky comfort of a braai to the fragrant spices of Cape Malay cooking, the coastal freshness of the Cape to the hearty warmth of traditional potjie.
At AndRoc’s Kitchen, we celebrate these traditions while adding our own creative twist. We cook with what’s fresh, local, and in season, blending classic flavors with contemporary ideas to create dishes that feel both familiar and exciting. Every bite carries a touch of nostalgia — a reminder of family gatherings, seaside picnics, and home-cooked meals — while telling a new story of our land, our people, and our love for bringing them together through food.
